Last updated 5 months ago

Step 1 - Create New Test

Navigate to our "Create New Test" tab, you will find a test called "Theme test". Click "Create Theme Test" and you will be navigated to the create new theme test page.

Step 2 - Set Up Your Test

Give your theme test a proper name and decide the percentage of traffic split between your original theme and test variant.

Step 3 - Select Test Theme

Select a theme to test against with your original theme. If you are creating the test for the first time, it might take a while to load the screenshot of your theme. You can proceed with selecting the theme as this won't impact your test.

You can view each theme by hovering to the variant card and click "View in browser" button.

Step 4 - Launch test

Click "Launch test" button, and you will be navigate to the dashboard once the test is created.

Step 5 - Preview test

There are two ways to preview your test:

  1. Use the preview URL in the analytics page of your Theme Test

  1. Use the incognito browser and add ?preview=0 or ?preview=1 in the url. You will be shown the different theme assigned to that test group.

Step 6 - Monitor Test Results

At this point, we are all set. Give the test some time, and we can analyze the result in the analytics later. For more on analytics definition, check out this article:

Feel free to reach out via support@abconvert.io or use the in-app support widget if you encounter any issues with your theme tests.
